Zoo Party!

The girls were recently invited to a "zoo" party at a friends house and LOVED it. It was so cute, and they had a huge petting zoo in their backyard! Graces favorite was the bunny, and Mady was mesmerized by the goats. She spent most of her time in their cage (until they started playing with one another, and she was stressing to get out)! The horses were a hit too, and Madeline had no fear of riding them. Fun day and very good weather:)

School Time!

Im a little late, but here are the super cute pictures of Grace and Madelines's first day back to school! Both girls were pretty excited, and Madeline did excellent with this being her first time at First Baptist! Grace was a little excited, too, but had first day jitters in the car. She was so worried that her teacher was going to be "mean" if she wrote her letters backwards. Much to her delight, she came home happy and has been that was since. But, of course, 3 weeks of school in, she has started the classic "my stomach hurts" before school 2 days a week. All in all, however, school has gotten off to a great start!

Puppet Show!

We went to the library last Thursday for their first Puppet show of the Summer! It was cute, and the girls loved it. ( Well, mainly Grace. Mady lasted the first 9 minutes) Grace was thrilled when she got called up to play the part of a whale! She did a great job... but showed she is just like her mom when they had to politely tell her to stop talking to her neighbor at the end.:)

Summer Lovin!

The girls are starting to get a little tired of staying inside so much....so once again we resorted to going outside on the Dora slip n slide. They do, however, love this and get a kick out of of sliding down it. They were too cute today and decided they loved each other after all this afternoon. Enjoy!

Annahs Wedding!

Theres not many pics.... but the wedding was so fun! Everyone had a great time, I survived a mini stroke with Madeline and her stunts on the altar, and they both stayed up until 12:oo am that night! Congratulations Annah and Shane! (Time for the real world)

Madeline is 3!

I apologize for being "gone" so long! With the end of school parties and Annahs wedding, there has been little time for blogs!
Mady turned 3 on May 23rd, and her Dora party was on May 22nd! It was alot of fun. Pretty hot, but fun. The hit was probably our pretend Doras afro hair and a very realistic Diego ( with a little Crocodile Dundee mixed in there!). It was alot of fun and I cant believe she is already 3. Well, then again, yes I can. Happy Belated Birthday Madeline!

We Are Expecting (Furry!) Babies!

I have discovered, last week, that we have 5 little blue bird eggs in our flower basket on the front porch. I purposely, to protect these little birdie lives, havent told my kids yet. This morning we went outside and I took a peek, and couldnt resist telling the kids. Of course they went nuts, and the Mama and Daddy birds flew for their lives! We looked at the eggs, watered the plant, sprinkled sunflower seeds for the Mommy bird ( not in the plant:). That flippin nest has been the best free babysitter here Ive ever had. For about 2 hours, they watched outside, watched from the window inside, and talked about these birds. Mady kept wanting to know when they were coming back to sit on the "lightbugs" ( lightbulbs). Sadly, after all this commotion, Im sure today was the last day these birds will be residents at the Hotel Motel de la Gunters. Happy Mothers Day!

Busy Week!

This past week and weekend was kinda busy... not many pictures taken. Grace got her first letter home about the last day of school being May 27! I cannot, cannot, believe her first year is over. The is been the fastest year by far. She has done really well and we are excited to see what first grade brings! ( Hopefully I will be over the "public school" culture shock by then. I cannot believe some of the things she comes home with! At 5!!!!)

Mady is of course the same, a bit sassier and wilder. Well maybe a good bit:) She is into saying no every other third minute and stupid. Stupid is just the best golden word in the world to her ( of course because its forbidden by me.... she trys to see how many times under her breath she can say it before I hear it). Other than that, we are all doing well~ have a good week!

Pizza Time!

My girls LOVE pizza! We had pizza tonight when they got out of the bath and of course, Mady was the main entertainment. She looked like she just got done working at the pizza factory by the time it was over. But of course, it was worth it to her to make Grace laugh the whole time. Have a good week!

Anyone Care for a Broccoli Float?

Seriously. This is a 100%, pure broccoli float created by Madeline. It is Propel mixed with bits, and chunks, of raw broccoli she was eating. She has to be, hands down, the worst baby backwasher. Grace and I both agreed, it looks like a broccoli milkshake. Yuck. She was preparing it, then remembered she had a boo boo from earlier (hence the horrible cry), and topped of the whole day with a lick of Cottons dogbone. ( I cant even comment) Mady is Mady. But of course we love her!

Grace had a great first day back at school! She was semi excited this morning and is ready for tomorrow! ( Because she gets to take Ice Cream money!)

Lions, Tigers and Bears!

We recently took a trip to the zoo this past week, and it couldnt have been nicer! The weather was great and the girls were good (but the Spring Break crowd was not!). Mady especially loved the Monkeys talking, and Grace said her favorite was the Koala bear. We hope to go back soon!

Lake Fun!

Since it is Grace and Madeline's Spring break, we decided to go to the lake and have some fun. It was so much fun, the girls loved it, and I got to sit in a chair and relax for almost 2 hours! Bliss. The water was disgusting, cold, and pollen filled, but of course entertaining and not a factor when you are 6 and 2!
